Fernbird Trading has staff with over 20 years experience in the logistics and distribution sectors, including experience in Just-In-Time and seasonal planning. We also have many years experience in manufacturing and process management. New sales channels are being researched all the time.

Exporting

Our primary focus is providing an export distribution channel for New Zealand made products to overseas markets. This allows smaller New Zealand companies to export through Fernbird without them needing to acquire the specialized skills and backing necessary for exporting. We also offer access to bulk dairy products and various manufactures made from these such as cheeses and Infant Formulas.

Our export strategy is to find niches with buyers and acquire access to NZ brands, or create products to supply under our own label with which to open these opportunities. These opportunities are then nurtured into export channels for like goods on behalf of our NZ suppliers.

Biography Trevor Stewart

Trevor has had a varied career across SME’s and corporate enterprises over a 47 year period. This has given him experience & insights into a number of important industries at all levels. His background in the trades and light engineering sectors, enhanced by 20 years in the computer service industry providing support and consultation for small to medium business, has given him a wide experience in industrial process as well as sales & marketing, and contract negotiations.
